Pesticide Action Network have launched a pesticide free towns campaign to help persuade councils across the country to go pesticide free. Our very own #pesticidebuster campaign was highlighted as a case study (PDF) earlier in the year, and helped them in the development of their national campaign.
I’m sure by now you will have signed our own petition asking the London Borough of Camden to go pesticide free (if not please do – we have 50 electronic signatures and over a 100 written ones) and if you have, here’s some more actions you can take.

- Tweet: #pesticidefree @PesticideFreeUK. Follow on Facebook.
- Sign the petition on the No.10 website calling for an immediate end to pesticide use in urban areas and a ban on all non-agricultural pesticides by 2020.
- If there is an area that you know is pesticide free where you live – a local park, allotment or even your own garden – put up a Pesticide Free Zone sign to advertise the fact and raise awareness about the issue.
